Has been dancing since age four, training in ballet, jazz, modern, contemporary, lyrical and her favourite discipline, acro. Bre has dedicated many years to Absolute Dance as both a dancer and teacher. As a competitive dancer, Bre has received many special awards and overall awards for her groups, duets, trios and solos. She has completed examinations in various disciplines with the British Association of Teachers of Dancing (BATD), consistently receiving honours. Bre was an assistant dance instructor at Absolute Dance for five years and supply taught many classes before taking on a teaching position.
Bre has been teaching at Absolute Dance for the past 5 years. Her choreography has won multiple overalls and special awards at competitions across Southern Ontario, including “Judge’s Choice”, “Serious Strength”, and “Perfectly Polished”. Bre’s passion for teaching stems from helping her students to achieve their goals and from seeing the growth in her students with each season.
Bre is currently attending the University of Western Ontario where she is enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. She will graduate in December of 2018. Bre is thrilled to return to the Absolute Dance faculty and can’t wait to continue sharing her love for dance with her students. She hopes that her commitment and passion for teaching will inspire young dancers and motivate them for years to come.
Is going into her fourteenth year at Absolute Dance. She has trained in styles such as ballet, jazz, acro, contemporary, modern and lyrical. Competing since the age of seven, Deanna has received various special awards, overalls and scholarships for her dancing. She has completed many levels of the British Association of Teacher of Dancing in jazz and acro, consistently receiving the highly commended award. Assistant and substitute teaching in acro and jazz classes for the past three years has allowed Deanna to gain great spotting and instructing experience for her new position on the Absolute Dance faculty.
Deanna actively participates and choreographs in the annual Oakridge S.S. dance show. She is currently in her senior year of high school with many biology, kinesiology and dance courses under her belt. She is looking to attend university for a health related degree the following year.
Competing for several years, assisting in various classes, and devoting her life to dance has lead Deanna to begin her teaching career. With Absolute Dance like her second home, Deanna could not be more excited to share her passion of dance with others!
Has devoted her life to dance starting at the young age of three. Throughout Katharine's life, she has been involved in gymnastics and dance, with acrobatics being her strong suit. Katharine has been a competitive dancer at Absolute dance since she was seven years old winning many overalls, awards and scholarships for solos, groups and duets over the years. Katharine has also received highly commended on her premiere level acro BATD examination and has been trained in disciplines such as jazz, acro, lyrical, modern, ballet, contemporary and more.
Katharine has also been assisting at Absolute Dance for seven years, helping spot and choreograph and is now a teacher to many amazing dancers. Katharine has also been teaching at Dance London for a former teacher, had the amazing opportunity to teach the 2018 London Dance Festival, been part of the UWO Dance Force team and has choreographed and danced in many dance shows at Saunders S.S and Oakridge S.S.
Katharine is attending Brescia University studying Leadership Studies and keeping her love for dance close to her heart by also taking a minor in dance at Western. Katharine is overjoyed everytime she teaches dance, especially at Absolute Dance as she grew and developed as a dancer and loves sharing that with her dancers!
Is super excited to dance with all of you! She has been dancing for over fifteen years at various studios! She's focused her learning in Tap, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Modern, Jazz, Ballet and Acro, and attended multiple dance competitions during her competitive days all across the GTA. A few years ago she started teaching dance through spectrum in London, and since then she has joined us here at Absolute Dance!
She attends the University of Western Ontario in the Psychology program and is hoping to complete a double major adding in Literature. During her spare time she tries to create choreography and creatively dance. She is so excited to meet you all!
Has been dancing for 20 years and has dedicated her life towards it. She has extensive training in jazz, tap, acrobatics, lyrical, ballet, pointe, hip hop, musical theatre, modern, and contemporary. Competing nationally since the age of 7, Sarah has had the opportunity to dance and learn from many inspiring dancers and choreographers and received many awards and recognitions for her dancing and choreography. She has been teaching for the past nine years both recreational and competitive students of all ages and styles in London and throughout the Greater Toronto Area. Sarah has attained her intermediate advanced Royal Academy of Dance Ballet Examination and well as Jazz and Tap examinations for the British Association of Teachers of Dance.
In 2016 she graduated with and Honours Specialization in Kinesiology and minors in Dance and Psychology. She was able to continue her passion and love for dance in both an educational setting through her Dance Minor and competitively on a University team, Heat Dance Team, where she was both a dancer and choreographer competing at the varsity level for four years.
She continued her education and completed her Master of Arts in Child Study and Education at the University of Toronto and is a certified member with the Ontario College of Teachers. When she is not teaching dance, she can be found working as an occasional teacher in elementary schools across the London area.
Her goal as a teacher is to inspire dancers and help them find their own love for dance. She is very excited for this opportunity to continue teaching and inspiring dancers at Absolute Dance and hopes that her passion, commitment, and love for dance will show through her dedication, teaching and choreography.
Has been dancing since the age of three and training in various dance genres such as jazz, ballet, modern, hip hop, lyrical, and contemporary. Shaina has been a member of the Absolute Dance family for the past 15 years and is beginning her 5th year of teaching at Absolute Dance. Over the years as a competitive dancer, Shaina won numerous overall and special awards for her solos, duets/trios and groups. She has received several scholarships for dance conventions and workshops for locations such as Los Angeles, Toronto and New York. Over the last few years, Shaina has received many special and overall awards for her choreography. She has completed her jazz examinations with the BATD consistently receiving highly commended.
Shaina has worked with the YMCA of Komoka by providing dance instruction to the community. Here, she got to share her love for dance by teaching young children the fundamentals and basics of dance in ballet, jazz, and hip hop.
Shaina is currently attending Western University to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. She is thrilled to continue teaching both recreational and competitive dancers again at Absolute Dance and she can’t wait to share her passion for dance with everyone around her!
Has been dancing at Absolute Dance for 8 years. Tori did one year of recreational dance and then joined the competitive dance troupe. Tori has trained in many genres such as jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, ballet and acro. Tori also has helped at CheerStrikes with spotting and assisting the dancers with their tricks, she is also a teacher at CheerStrike. Tori has won and received various special awards such as “emotional excellence” and “outstanding choreo”. Tori’s lyrical group also won 1st place in a dance off at a dance competition.
Tori has completed many levels of British Association of Teacher of Dancing (BATD) in jazz and acro. Tori is in grade 11 at Saint Andre Bessette and Tori’s love of dance continues with her being on the competitive dance team at school.
Tori enjoys working with children and has helped in many summer camps and is extremely excited to share her love of dance with others while starting her teaching experience at Absolute Dance!
Vanessa has been dancing competitively since she was eight years old. Vanessa has trained in styles such as ballet, lyrical, contemporary, jazz, and hip hop. Vanessa has a special connection and passion for hip hop. She enjoys the music; originality and the freedom hip hop provide while dancing. She has enjoyed learning the history of hip hop from the 1970’s which originated in the Bronx, New York.
Vanessa started her competitive dance career at Dance Extreme in London Ontario. She was examined in ballet by the Royal Academy of Dance. Vanessa won many awards at Dance Extreme such as “The Most Potential Award.” After several years Vanessa then transferred to a new studio in London, O’Neil’s Academy of Dance. During this time Vanessa was extensively trained by choreographers from Toronto, and by Kim O’Neil who was on ‘So you think you can dance.’ While Vanessa was competitively dancing she won many special awards for her hip hop solos. Vanessa began teaching dance very early at her high school, John Paul II Secondary School. She was in leadership classes two years in a row where she assisted dance classes for both grades nine and ten. Vanessa taught technique in all styles across the floor, taught combinations, assisted grading, and helped run a showcase at the end of the year. While taking classes of her own Vanessa won the “Top Dancer Award” in the dance program. In grade twelve Vanessa did her co-op at ‘Lester B Pearson School of the Arts’ where she created lesson plans that incorporated educational substance as well as hip hop. Throughout Vanessa’s senior years of high school, she choreographed, cleaned, and rehearsed three school plays that ran in her school. Plays such as Annie, God spell, and High School Musical. Vanessa is also a Competitive Hip hop teacher for another dance studio in St. Thomas, Ontario.
This is Vanessa’s first year teaching at Absolute Dance. She is thrilled to be teaching dance at such a supportive and talented studio. Vanessa will be teaching competitive Hip hop and Musical Theatre among various ages, as well as Absolute’s recreational program. Vanessa has had the pleasure of teaching summer classes for all Absolute’s competitive dancers and was able to observe and create with each dancers unique, and talented abilities. Vanessa is passionate for teaching each dancer, to watch them grow and develop as dancers and as people.
Vanessa recently graduated from Western University for an honour specialization in Sociology. She also plans to further her education in a Master of Social Work. Vanessa currently works as a Child and Youth worker at a group home in London Ontario. Vanessa is passionate about helping others, and specifically works with teens who struggle with substance abuse and mental health concerns. Vanessa is eager and delighted to be teaching along such a determined faculty who inspire the dancers to love the art of dance! Come and join a fun and positive experience of dance at Absolute.
Miss Anastasia (Outside Choreographer)
Has been involved in the dance community for a number of years. Her journey began as a rhythmic gymnast. After competing for seven years and finishing her rhythmic gymnastics career in seventh place at the Junior Level in Canada, Anastasia decided she wanted to follow her passion for performing, and therefore, transitioned into the world of dance. Training at studios such as Performing Dance Arts and Art & Soul Dance Company, Anastasia began to compete and further her education as a dancer. Competing all over Canada and USA, Anastasia has been trained in Acro, Jazz, Contemporary, Modern, Ballet, Tap, and Hip- Hop.
As a current student at The University of Western, Anastasia minors in the dance program. She also currently performs all around the GTA as a dancer in D’air Dance Collective. She is also an Acrobatics Arts certified Module 1 Teacher. Her choreography has won multiple special awards, including: Most Entertaining, Creative Concept and Choreography, and Athleticism Award.
Anastasia has been teaching for 4 years. Her passion grows from having a bond with her students. Seeing her students’ progress and learn is the reason she loves teaching. She cannot wait to see and teach the next generation of dancers.
Miss Brooke (Outside Choreographer)
Began her dancing career at the early age of three and has been dedicating much of her time and commitment to the art form ever since. Brooke is trained in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Acro, Modern, Contemporary, Hip Hop, and Musical Theatre. Brooke also has extensive training and exam work in Cecchetti Ballet.
Brooke graduated from Emotion Dance Company under the artistic direction of Michelle Freiburger where she trained numerous hours a week with some of the most sought out choreographers in the dance community. She competed for seven years across Canada and the U.S. where she received many award and recognition's. After graduating high school Brooke attended the Conteur Academy, under artistic direction of Eryn Waltman, where she studied under many professional dancers and choreographers in Toronto and the surrounding area. She has been a part of a few full-length shows such as “Frames” (Conteur academy), “A Life Within” (Breath In Movement) as well as smaller show castings in the Toronto area. During her time in Toronto she was also able to work with artist Craig Cardiff in a music video.
She eventually moved to London to attend the University of Western where she will soon obtain an Honours Health Science with a Specialization in Biology Degree. During her time at Western she has also had many performance/ choreographic opportunities. She is a prominent dancer/ choreographer of Heat Dance Team where she competes at varsity level dance competitions. She has also had the pleasure of choreographing for Caisa Fashion Show, the largest student run fashion show in all of Canada.
Brooke has been teaching/ choreographing for the past five years in cities located in Southern Ontario and continues to grow in her love of dance by being a part of the London dance community. Brooke’s passion for dance is evident whether it be while teaching or performing herself and she can’t wait to share that passion and inspire the next generation of dancers!
Miss Christine (Outside Choreographer)
Has started her dance journey at the age of three, and the end won’t be anytime soon! Trained in ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, tap, acro, lyrical, and musical theatre, Christine is excited to share all she has learned with her students at Absolute Dance! Christine discovered her love for performing at age 6 when she started dancing competitively in a hip hop group. Since then her 10 years of competitive have led her to win numerous special awards for her solos, duets, and groups, including awards she has personally won titled “Beautiful Lines”, “Heart and Soul”, “Beautiful Connection”, and “Showstopper” to name a few.
As well as multiple overall awards for her solos and groups, Christine is a repeat recipient of both the Be Discovered Hip hop Intensive and the Be Discovered Broadway Bound Scholarships along with Coastal Dance Rage scholarships and a Dance Intensive held in Chicago. She has also worked with the likes of Gino Berti, Cora Kozaris, Ryan Foley, and more.
Since her competitive career, Christine is no stranger to the stages in London. Christine has been a featured dancer in both the Grand Theatre’s High School Production of Footloose and Legally Blonde, while having small ensemble roles. She is also a frequent performer in the London Fringe Festival on the London Convention Center stage and the Grand Theatre’s McManus Studio, even travelling across Canada to perform in the Edmonton Fringe Festival.
To express her love and intensity for hip hop, Christine is a returning senior member of the London Lightning Dance Pac, performing for thousands of spectators and numerous sold out arenas on Rogers TV. Christine’s passion for theatre and hip hop is a unique mix that she is thrilled to explore with her students and learn from their own talents.
Miss Kelly (Outside Choreographer)
Kelly has been teaching dance for over 8 years. She studied choreography production in ballet, theatre, and modern dance while completing her dance minor at the University of Western Ontario.
In 2018, Kelly received numerous awards for choreography. Some of those include: overall best junior choreography, 1 st overall musical theatre routine, and 1 st overall highest score for junior dances.
Kelly attended high school at Canada’s National Ballet School in their professional program. There she received extensive training from professional dancers such as Martine Lamy, Tatiana Tchernova.
Kelly danced competitively at Dancemakerz in Waterdown and won numerous performance awards for all different genres of dance. She also completed her Advanced Ballet Exam with the Russian Society and was awarded a Distinction.
In 2009 Kelly landed the lead role of Clara in The Nutcracker with the Cuban National Ballet Company. Kelly had the opportunity to work alongside professional ballet dancers from one of the top ballet companies in the World. Kelly then traveled to Cuba to perform the lead role on stage at Le Gran Teatro de la Habana.
