Tiny Dancers (45 minute Class)
An introduction to music, movement, and the joy of dance!
The pre-dance program is designed to introduce the students
to the study of dance movement. Emphasis is placed on motor coordination, basic body placement, and music awareness.
DANCE READINESS (45 minute class)
A beginner dance program based on basic ballet and jazz technique. Students will work on fundamental dance skills and including skipping, galloping, and basic ballet positions.
BALLET (45 minute class)
The foundation for all dance forms, with emphasis placed on understanding placement and alignment, and coordination, phrasing, transitions, and musicality and the artistry of movement.
JAZZ (45 minute class)
Emphasis on the relationship between movement, and music infusing basic technique in jumps and turns while fostering individual style and freedom of movement.
ACROBATICS (45 minute class)
The combination of dance technique and acrobatics forms this graceful dance discipline. Movements flow into flexible bends and stretches and the strength of balances and aerial challenges give this dance form its uniqueness.
TAP (45 minute class)
A form of dance using a rhythmical combination of movement, sound, and style. The sound is achieved by metal taps on the shoes accenting and underscoring various beats in the music. Tap is an excellent avenue to achieve arm, leg, and body coordination and to develop a sense of rhythm.
CONTEMPORARY (45 minute class)
The classes teach students contemporary technique and allow them to learn innovative combinations and choreography. Contemporary gives them a chance to explore their own style and tell a story through their movement. The students perform this new style of dance while enhancing their creativity and self-expression.
HIP HOP (45 minute class)
A fun and up-beat form of dance that challenges the boundaries of technique and infuses isolation and unique body movements with high energy and funk.
MUSICAL THEATRE (45 minute class)
A style that involves the expression of a story through dance and in combination with lip-syncing. Facial and body expression is vital to the expressive form of dance.
COMBO CLASSES (45 minute class)
Ballet/Jazz/Acro or
Ballet/Jazz/Tap
These classes are a perfect way to both introduce different styles of dance to your young dancer as well as giving them the opportunity to find their specialty. In these fun energetic classes, the dancers learn the beginnings to ballet, jazz, tap and/or acrobatics. This class jump starts their training and increases their development in coordination and rhythm.
